I have chronic pain that is a residual from a nerve conduction study 20+ years ago due to the misplacement of a needle also, often when a nerve conduction study is done on a nerve with severe damage, often it is excruciatingly painful (I speak from experience). I simply want to know what will likely occur with regards to a fair exam and equally fair rating. Note, if you are going to tell me nerve conduction studies aren't painful but rather uncomfortable, please don't bother posting as we have opposing views and I don't want to argue. What will likely be the outcome if I refuse the nerve conduction study? Since there are other ways to look at the damage such as an MRI, I think it fair the VA can check the impairment through other objective methods. I haven't allowed any physicians to conduct such a study since my last one when they evaluated the nerve at my original C&P exam many years ago. I can't imagine going through another study and will refuse it if they ask to perform it at the C&P.

I anticipate an upcoming C&P exam as I filed for an increase due to it growing more severe since the original service connection quite a few years ago. I have severe neuritis in one of my arms.
